Use Cases
Use Lociplace for numbers, cards, names, vocabulary, books, poetry, speeches, scripture, and long-form text with scenes and loci.
Different goals need different encoding strategies, but they can share the same Lociplace model.
Memory Item -> Scene -> Placement -> Locus -> Practice -> Review
Names, vocabulary, books, poetry, and scripture all need memory items, scenes, optional loci, active recall, and review.
Use cases
- Numbers and Cards
- Names and Faces
- Vocabulary
- Books and Textbooks
- Poetry and Verbatim Text
- Long-Form Text and Scripture
How to choose a starting point
If you are studying for school or work, start with facts, vocabulary, or book sections.
If you are learning mnemonics, start with one palace and a short list.
If you are training for memory sport, start with route capacity, PAO or Major entries, and timed number/card practice later.

Keep the unit small
Most use cases become easier when the unit is clear:
- one name
- one word
- one formula
- one number chunk
- one quote
- one book section
If the unit is too large, the scene becomes vague and review becomes frustrating. Split the material before placing it.
